Meegan C. Chestnut, MD is a >10 practicing Board Certified Internal Medicine physician. She hails from Columbia South Carolina where she attended University of South Carolina and hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. She work as a nuclear Engineer for Duke Energy through the Minority Professional Association Internship Program. She subsequently attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and obtained her Doctor of Medicine. From 2007-2010 she was trained in Internal Medicine through the MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Residency Program. After completing her residency she was invited to and stayed on for a Chief Residency year. After her chief resident year was complete, she remained a part of MedStar for 2 ½ years as an academic faculty member of MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. She was also asked and accepted two additional roles as Sheppard Clinic Associate Medical Director and the Medical Director of MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Anticoagulation Clinic.
